Express slide in Sudbury 123-121

A potent offence was not enough for the Windsor Express to get past the Sudbury Five Sunday afternoon.

Seven Express players scored double-digit point totals, but the Express lost to the Five 123-121 at Sudbury Arena. The Express are now 1-5 on the season and 1-2 against Sudbury.

The Five, coached by former Express star Logan Stutz, got off to an early first-quarter lead, but Windsor made up the difference in the second and led Sudbury 64-60 at the half. Sudbury outscored Windsor by 12 points in the third, which seemed to make the difference in the final result.

Ryan Anderson led the Express with 22 points. Deandre Thomas followed closely off the bench with 21 points and Richard Amardi added 15. Juan Pattillo led the Express with 12 rebounds.

For Sudbury, Braylon Rayson led with 25 points and Dexter Williams Jr. added 24. Devin Gilligan put in an additional 22 points. On defence, Grandy Glaze led with ten boards.

Windsor nexts hosts the Kitchener-Waterloo Titans on Saturday night.
