City reviewing everything under the hood at Transit Windsor

So what do you think of Transit Windsor? The City of Windsor wants to know.

It has embarked on a year-long service review with the objective of positioning public transit in Windsor to meet the challenges of the 21st century. Meeting with key stakeholders is already underway, but the public is invited to take part in an online survey that will continue until December 31.

Questions included in the survey look for ways Transit Windsor can better connect people to their jobs, school, and businesses, and how it can support the healthy growth of our neighbourhoods.

"The City of Windsor is changing, and how people move around the city is changing too," Windsor Mayor Drew Dilkens said. "We need to better understand how our transit system can more effectively serve our community."

Everything from ridership, routes, policy, staffing, and budgets is under review.

"The entire mobility equation is transforming," said Pat Delmore, the executive director of Transit Windsor. "The More Than Transit review will help Transit Windsor look to the future as a robust and adaptable mobility provider."

Those interested in the conversation can follow a social media campaign with the hashtag #MoreThanTransit.
