The Downtown Mission in Windsor is getting some help this weekend to restock its food bank shelves.
Greg Lemay is holding a "48 Hour Street Sleep" event. The event is being supported by Unifor Local 444. Non-perishable food items can be dropped off from Friday at 5 p.m. until Sunday at 5 p.m.
Intense rain at the end of September flooded the mission's basement at 875 Ouellette Avenue and wiped out their food supply for the needy.
Greg’s trailer is parked out in front and ready for donations to keep rolling in.
