Charges in Kingsville hit and run

A Windsor woman faces a charge of failing to remain at the scene of a hit and run crash in Kingsville last month.

The Ontario Provincial Police said it happened on October 31 at a construction site on County Road 20.

One vehicle was rear-ended by another vehicle, but instead of stopping, the second vehicle passed the first, side-swiping it in the process.

Investigators found the vehicle just minutes later on Heritage Road with extensive damage to the front end.

Amanda Schwab, 31, of Windsor was arrested and is charged with impaired operation of a vehicle, failing to stop at the scene of a collision, and refusing to provide a breath sample.

Her vehicle has also been impounded, and her driver's license has been suspended.

None of the allegations have been proven in court.
