Spitfires can't outrun Greyhounds in 3-2 loss

The Windsor Spitfires have suffered their third straight loss by falling 3-2 to the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds on Thursday.

After a scoreless first period, the Greyhounds were first to make it on the board with a goal 29 seconds in the second frame.

Sault Ste. Marie scored another two back-to-back goals in the latter half of the third period, but Will Cuylle and Tyler Angle both scored to put Windsor on the board the final minutes of the game. However, the Spitfires were unable to tie the game before the buzzer.

Despite the loss, Windsor outshot Sault Ste. Marie 29-22.

The Spitfires will travel to Barrie on Saturday to take on the Colts at 7:30 p.m.
