UPDATE: Severe weather in Windsor-Essex

Windsor-Essex saw some wild weather move through Saturday afternoon.

Environment Canada issued a severe thunderstorm warning for the area.

Shortly before 2:30 p.m., the weather agency tracked a line of severe weather stretching from west of Walpole Island to Amherstburg, moving southeast. This system impacted every location in Windsor-Essex in one form or another.

This line of storms was blamed on causing a weather delay in East Lansing, Michigan, disrupting the NCAA football game between Michigan and Michigan State.

The warning was ended around 4 p.m. Saturday, but Environment Canada says more strong storms, consisting of high winds, heavy downpours and nickel-sized hail, are possible through Saturday night.
