Business looks to capitalize on legal pot at Leamington conference

On November 6, more than 200 industry leaders will be found in Leamington for a conference on the economic impact of the legal cannabis industry in Canada.

Vic Neufeld, CEO of Aphria, will be the keynote speaker at the one-day conference at the Roma Club.

The day-long event will feature expert panels and in-depth discussions on the economic spin-offs of legalized recreational marijuana.

"There is a lot of attention on Canada. It is the first G7 country to legalize recreational adult cannabis. Working with TheCannalysts on this conference brings together industry leaders is timely," says partner at Grant Thornton LLP, Trisha LeBlanc.

Those who go will learn how cannabis will promote innovation, entrepreneurship, job growth and revenue.

"We are thrilled to be hosting this conference with Grant Thornton LLP and in the Windsor-Essex region, as it is on its way to becoming Canada's cannabis production capital," said Craig Wiggins, managing director of TheCannalysts. "We are bringing a world-class cannabis conference to Windsor-Essex."
