Hardcastle takes aim at another term in Ottawa

Cheryl Hardcastle said she is proud to be nominated as the federal NDP candidate for Windsor-Tecumseh in the next election.

She tweeted that she is honoured by such a great turnout and such strong support at the Legion Branch 205 on Wednesday night.

Hardcastle was elected MP in 2015 after Joe Comartin retired. She is the party's critic for Sports and Persons with Disabilities.

Hardcastle served as Tecumseh’s deputy mayor from 2011 to 2014. Before entering politics, she worked as a newspaper reporter and editor for almost 20 years.

The next federal election is October 21, 2019.
