Employees have been allowed to return to work after a building was evacuated in Tecumseh.
Tecumseh Fire and Rescue sent out a tweet around 10:30 a.m. Thursday saying that a gas line was accidentally struck near Sylvestre Drive in the area of E.C. Row and Manning Road.
The tweet said the line led to a commercial building. The building was evacuated, as was neighbouring businesses as a precaution.
Fire officials later said that the gas has been isolated from the outside of the building in question and employees were allowed to go back inside.
There have been no reports of injuries or damage to any of the businesses. The area is primarily for commercial use, with several businesses as well as some manufacturing facilities.
