Two hospitalized after stabbing near casino

Two men are in hospital with various injuries after a Saturday afternoon stabbing near downtown Windsor.

Windsor police say it happened shortly after 3 p.m. Officers were called to Assumption St. between Aylmer Ave. and Louis Ave., not far from the Caesars Windsor parking garage.

The victim has been treated for minor injuries. The alleged attacker, though, is in hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

Police say one man has been arrested and charges may be pending. It was not immediately clear what kind of weapon was used in the attack.

The block was roped off with yellow tape for about two hours following the incident.
