Aretha Franklin Dies At 76

The music industry has lost another icon.

The Associated Press is reporting that the publicist for Aretha Franklin says the Queen of Soul died just before 10am Thursday at her home in Detroit from advanced pancreatic cancer.

Earlier this week, the 76-year-old legendary singer was reportedly gravely ill and “surrounded by family and people close to her” who asked for prayers and privacy.
