More High Marks For the Chrysler Pacifica

Fiat-Chrysler Automobiles' Windsor-built minivan continues to get praise.

For the second year in a row, the Pacifica is the highest-rated family vehicle, according to the latest survey from J.D. Power and Associates.

The survey is part of an online buyers' guide put out by the Michigan-based research firm.

The Pacifica was given a perfect "5" score in the APEAL Power Circle Ratings, which measure customer satisfaction and is based on consumer surveys.

The rating is the latest in a series of accolades for the Pacifica, built in three shifts at the Chrysler Windsor Assembly plant. It was honoured before the 2018 North American International Auto Show in Detroit with the best-van recognition in Car & Driver magazine.

The automaker recently received an order of 62,000 Pacifica hybrid vans from the autonomous-vehicle company Waymo.

Sales in June 2018 went through the roof. Chrysler reported that 731 Pacificas were sold, compared to 531 in June 2017, a 38% year-to-year increase.
