Service To Be Held For Well-Known Windsor Business Owner

A prominent Windsor restaurant owner and community advocate will be laid to rest next week.

A funeral will be held on August 1 for Mark Boscariol, who owned several restaurants in the downtown core and Walkerville area.  Boscariol died suddenly Thursday morning at the age of 51.

He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Daena, and son Andreas.

Boscariol was the well-known owner of the Snack Bar BBQ, the Downtown Pizza, and the Good Neighbour Restaurant in Walkerville. He was also a cheerleader for Windsor business and other local organizations, including helping with efforts to bring a distillery district to the Walkerville area.

Visitations for Boscariol will be held at Families First funeral home at 3260 Dougall Ave. on July 30 from 7pm-9pm, and on July 31 from 3pm-5pm and 7pm-9pm. The funeral will take place at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church at 4401 Mount Royal Dr on August 1 at 11am.  Boscariol will be laid to rest at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.

The family has asked that any donations be made to The Little Things Matter Program.
