Spitfires Douglas and Corcoran Taken In NHL Draft

Two Windsor Spitfires heard their names called Saturday in Dallas.

Centre Curtis Douglas and defenceman Connor Corcoran have been drafted by NHL teams at this weekend's 2018 Entry Draft, held at the American Airlines Center in Dallas.

Douglas was selected by the host Dallas Stars in the fourth round of the draft. The 6', 248-pound native of Oakville, Ont. was the 106th overall pick.

Douglas came to the Spitfires this past season in a trade with the Barrie Colts. Between the two teams, he played a total of 66 games with 22 goals for 46 points.

Corcoran was chosen in the fifth round by the Vegas Golden Knights, coming in as the 154th overall pick. From Beeton, Ont., he stands at 6' and weighs 185 pounds.

In 63 total games played in Windsor this past season, he scored three goals for 24 total points, and spent 40 minutes in the penalty box.
