Things Are Looking Up For Tourism Windsor Essex

Tourism Windsor Essex Pelee Island says Windsor Essex hotels are doing well.

TWEPI held their third annual general meeting on Thursday, June 21 at Wiser's Reception Centre. The yearly meeting offers the local tourism industry highlights of the organization's accomplishments and networking opportunities.

Nelson Santos, chair of the TWEPI Board and Mayor of Kingsville, says hotel occupancy in Windsor Essex is up by 1.2%, and hotel revenue is up 8.11% per room.

Social media engagement has seen increases across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, with Twitter having the most significant increase of 75.6%.

TWEPI also announced the addition of two new board members, Tom O’Brien, founder and owner of Cooper Hawk's Vineyard and Chris Savard, general manager of Devonshire Mall.

Attendees were invited to check out the J.P. Wiser's Distillery Experience, offering guests a whisky education session and tasting. The experience is one of Windsor's newest attractions.
