Five men are facing charges following two separate break and enters in Windsor.

The Windsor Police Service says on Tuesday around 9:30pm, officers responded to a break and enter at a building on Cantelon Dr. near Kew Dr. and quickly arrested a man outside. Officers then entered the building and found three other men, who were also arrested.

Investigators say they believe the men were targeting copper wire, which caused damage to the property. Break and enter tools were also seized at the scene.

Three Windsor men between the ages of 31 and 35 are charged with break and enter and possession of break and enter instruments. A fourth man from Windsor was also charged with break and enter.

As well, on Wednesday at around 5:20am, a local resident called police after spotting a man who appeared to be breaking into a business on Ambassador Dr. near Industrial Dr.

Officers arrived and spotted a man exiting the business running toward Malden Rd.  A suspect was eventually arrested with the help of the police service dog Hasko.

A 34-year-old man from Windsor is now charged with break and enter, possession of break and enter tools and breach of recognizance.
