The Essex Region Conservation Authority has again updated its flood warning, reinstating it for Point Pelee National Park and the west shore of Pelee Island.
The authority downgraded those areas to a flood watch Sunday night.
Monday morning, it issued a new statement saying the warning was in effect until 9am Tuesday.
Flooding in southern Essex County and on Pelee Island is extensive in some areas. On the island, West Shore Rd. is closed.
People are asked to stay away from the water. Even standing water can be dangerous.
