The St. John’s Edge have swept the Windsor Express in three games following a 124-117 victory on Wednesday.
The Express took a 33-22 lead over the Edge after the first quarter and held a one-point advantage heading into halftime. The Edge chipped away at Windsor’s lead in the third to take a 102-86 advantage. The Express couldn’t make a comeback in the final frame and ultimately fell with a seven-point deficit.
Maurice Jones led the Express with a game-high 37 points and six assists. Logan Stutz and Shaquille Keith both put up 19 points, while Braylon Rayson had 15 points and two rebounds.
The Edge with now move on to the second round of the playoffs.
