High Wind Causing Flooding In Leamington

The Essex Region Conservation Authority says flooding is occurring along the shoreline in Leamington west of the tip of Point Pelee National Park.

The authority says waves are overtopping breakwalls along the shoreline causing some property and road flooding and shoreline erosion.

Portions of the western shoreline of Pelee Island are also being affected by the waves and strong wind.

A flood watch remains in effect for Kingsville and Essex.
