Once again, students in Windsor are getting a big break on bus fare this March Break.
Starting on Monday, all elementary, secondary, and post-secondary students will pay just $1 to ride the city bus. Students just have to show the driver their student identification.
The regular fare is $3.
The promotion applies to all city buses but excludes the tunnel bus and special event buses.
The City of Windsor says by educating our youth and the greater public to the benefits of public transit, more residents will choose Transit Windsor as their mode of transportation.
A release from the city says it is good for the environment. It says just one bus can eliminate up to 50 cars on the road, reducing pollution and traffic congestion.
