A 24-year-old from the Niagara region is facing charges after accidentally shooting himself in the foot over the weekend.
Windsor police responded to a call at a house on Charles St. around noon on Saturday. When officers arrived they found a man with a gunshot wound to his foot and he was then taken to hospital.
The man gave officers a false name and told investigators he had been a victim of a crime. Investigators later learned he had been holding a gun during an argument and an accidental discharge wounded his foot.
No firearm has been recovered.
