Windsor Woman Spins The Wheel, Wins $200K

"I've been playing the lottery for about 20 years," says Anne Hammerschmidt who stepped up to take her turn spinning THE BIG SPIN WHEEL and won $200,000.

The retired secretary from Windsor won the opportunity at the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation's headquarters in Toronto by scratching a winning ticket.

The BIG SPIN INSTANT game combines scratch-play with prizes revealed in-store by an animated spinning wheel on the lottery terminal. One of the prizes offered is the chance to spin an actual big wheel, similar to the one on the popular game show "The Price is Right".

Hammerschmidt, who is 82, validated her ticket and learned she had one the big prize.

"This win makes life a whole lot easier for me," she says.

With the win, Hammerschmidt plans to upgrade her living space.

"I'll be able to move into a two-bedroom apartment," she says. "I'll also be sharing some of my prize with my loved ones."

The winning ticket was bought at the Downtown Cigar Shop on Ouellette Ave. in Windsor.
