Possible Meteor Over Detroit Seen In Windsor (VIDEO)
A number of reports say a possible meteor could be seen in the Windsor-Essex region as it broke up over Detroit, Michigan.
A bright flash was reported Tuesday evening around 8pm, and people on both sides of the border took to social media to share what they saw.
“After reviewing several observational datasets, the [National Weather Service], can confirm the flash and boom was not thunder or lightning, but instead a likely meteor,” National Weather Service says in a tweet. ” We continue to monitor feeds from astronomical agencies for official confirmation of a meteor.”
