Windsor Police Seize Cash, Drugs

Windsor police have charged two people in connection to a west side drug bust.

Members of the Drugs and Guns Unit executed a search warrant early Thursday morning on a house on Campbell Ave. off of Grove Ave. on the city's west side. The warrant was requested after reports of drug trafficking were received by the police.

Two men and one woman were taken into custody around 2am Thursday. The subsequent search of the property found crystal meth, morphine, oxycodone tablets, two digital scales, and a quantity of suspected crack cocaine. About $180 in cash was also seized. Total value of the drugs and cash seized is about $900.

A 53-year-old man has been charged with possession of crack cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of crystal meth for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of oxycodone and morphine.

A 41-year-old woman has been charged with possession of crack cocaine. Both have been released with a promise to appear in court in August.

Their names have not been released.

A second male arrested early Thursday morning has been released without charges.
