What's Open And Closed Canada Day Weekend

Government offices and retail outlets in Windsor-Essex are altering their hours for Canada Day weekend.

All City of Windsor offices will be closed on Monday, July 3 in observance of Canada Day. The city council meeting set for Tuesday, July 4 has been cancelled, with the next meeting Monday, July 17.

The 311 call centre in Windsor will be closed Monday while the 211 call centre will be open 24 hours as usual.

Some town and city offices in Essex County, such as Tecumseh, will be open on Monday. Others will be closed. Check with your municipality's office first.

There will be no garbage collection in Windsor Monday. The public drop-off and chemical disposal waste depot in Windsor will be closed on Monday. All residential garbage and yard waste collections set for Monday will be delayed one day.

All Windsor arenas, community centres and customer care centres and city pools will be open Monday. Adventure Bay Family Water Park has begun summer hours and is now open every day 10am to 8pm through September 3.

There is no parking enforcement in Windsor on July 3.  Municipal ticket payment offices will be closed.

Windsor's Chimczuk Museum and Francois Baby House will be closed on Monday, which is the usual day they are closed. The Windsor Public Library, as well as all branches of the Essex County Library, will open regular hours Monday.

Transit Windsor buses will operate on their normal schedules Sunday and Monday.

Devonshire Mall and Tecumseh Mall in Windsor will be open regular hours Sunday and Monday.

The LCBO and the Beer Store will be open regular Sunday and Monday hours.
