Long-term care residents at Huron Lodge in Windsor have a new way of staying active while enjoying the outdoors.

The City of Windsor's Accessibility Advisory Committee has spent $69,000 installing exercise equipment on a concrete patio.

"The day [the equipment] was put out here and they let us go on the concrete, I was out here already," says Vice President of the Huron Lodge Residents Council Oskar Rauscher. "I've been out here I don't know how many times over the last few weeks. The only times I don't come out is when it gets above 90 F."

He adds that Huron Lodge has the same equipment indoors, but it feels better to exercise outside.
