Windsor police have arrested four robbery suspects after responding to a domestic dispute.

Officers say there was an incident in a home on Marion Ave., near Erie St., around 8:30am Sunday, which was believed to be a dispute involving a gun.

Three arrests were made once police arrived on the scene, but one person decided to barricade himself inside the home until 3:20pm. That’s when negotiators were finally able to get him outside and into the back of a police cruiser.

The Windsor Police Service’s Major Crimes Branch then started investigating the entire incident and found out that there had been no dispute involving a weapon at all.

They now believe the suspects are connected to an incident from Friday morning, in which a man was robbed around 4am.

Four people, ranging in age from 31 to 44, are now facing robbery-related charges.
