Windsor Needs Your Help To Celebrate 125 Years

What are your 125 most memorable moments in Windsor?

Windsor Mayor Drew Dilkens is announcing a new community project to celebrate the city’s 125th birthday.

“This year, to commemorate our 125th birthday, I am asking you to share the moments you believe are the most memorable for Windsor: Moments that made us proud; moments that moved us forward as a community and ultimately defined us as a city," he says.

Dilkens cites the War of 1812, the Ford strike of 1945 and the first electric streetcar system in 1886 as pivotal moments in Windsor's history.

Those wishing to participate can post their memorable moment on Facebook using hashtag #mywindsormemory, by email at celebrating2017@citywindsor.ca, or in person at the City’s Birthday Party on May 20.

The Top 125 submitted will be released in June.

Deadline for entries is May 30, 2017.
