This year's Windsor ComiCon will be a homecoming for Angus MacInnes, or for Star Wars fans, Gold Leader Jon "Dutch" Vander.
The Windsor-native has signed on for an appearance at Comicon this August at Caesars Windsor.
The 67-year-old actor was born in Windsor and studied acting in Canada before moving to the United Kingdom. He studied at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.
Not long after MacInnes landed the role of Vander in Star Wars IV A New Hope, a role that was reprised in the latest Star Wars film Rogue One.
Other notable roles include the washed up hockey legend, Jean "Rosey" La Rose in Strange Brew, and the corrupt cop, Fergie in Witness.
Windsor ComiCon Windsor is an all ages event August 12 to 13 featuring genres like horror, sci-fi, anime/cosplay and gaming.
