Second Half Surge Puts Express Past River Lions

The Windsor Express scored their fourth straight win with a 96-82 victory on the road against the Niagara River Lions on Friday.

The Express trailed Niagara by two points at the end of the first quarter, and the River Lions were able to extend their lead to 47-44 at halftime.

Windsor found their momentum in the third frame and took a 74-61 advantage over the River Lions going into the fourth. Niagara fought regain some ground in the final frame, but the Express remained ahead to win with a 14 point lead.

Wally Ellenson led the Express with 25 points, while Nick Evans and Juan Patillo both put up 13 points. Tony Bennett also had 12 points and two rebounds.

The Express head to Kitchener to battle the KW Titans on Saturday at 7pm.
