Spits Team Complete After Trade Deadline

As the dust settles from a whirlwind trade deadline day, the Windsor Spitfires organization is feeling good with the team they've put together to make a push for the Memorial Cup.

As the deadline approached, the Spitfires added Jeremy Bracco, homegrown talent Daniel Robertson, and Adam Laishram.

General Manager Warren Rychel says they feel like they have the right players in place to earn their spot in the Memorial Cup.

"We're built, we have depth at all positions I think we can be a formidable opponent for any team here in the western conference and eastern conference championships," says Rychel.

Robertson says he was excited to learn he was coming home and would get the chance to play in the Memorial Cup this year.

"It was a shock, coming home, playing for my hometown team, they're hosting the Memorial Cup. It's just a really big deal and I was surprised and I was really excited," says Robertson.

The new players will be on the ice when they take on Kitchener Thursday night at the WFCU Centre.
