Snow and Rain Possible for Monday and Tuesday

A mixed bag of weather may be headed for Southwestern Ontario this week.

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for the following areas:

• Chatham-Kent - Rondeau Park
• Windsor - Leamington - Essex County

Forecasters are watching a Colorado low approaching the area.  It will bring some precipitation to southwestern Ontario Monday evening and move on to the Toronto area for Tuesday.

Snowfall accumulations of 5 to 10 cm are likely before the snow changes to rain, the weather agency said.  This may have an effect on the Tuesday morning commute, especially as thousands of students head back to class this week following the winter holiday break.
