Charges Laid After Bullying Video Goes Viral

Four teenagers are facing assault charges as part of a police investigation into a viral video showing a girl in a pink sweater being sworn at, shoved and hit by a group of young people in Windsor on Tuesday.

Two girls, 14 and 15, and two boys, 15 and 19, all from Windsor, are charged with assault in connection to the video.

Police report the incident happened on Wyandotte St. E near Pillette Rd. on Tuesday around 5pm. The victim was able to leave the incident without needing medical attention, suffering only minor injuries.

Officers also stepped in after getting a call from the home of one the accused who reported getting threats from a number of people online. Police issued a call for calm yesterday and cautioned the public to allow officers to do their job.
