Money For Info On Mill St. Murder Suspects

Crime Stoppers is offering cash rewards for information that could lead to the arrest of three suspects in a west Windsor homicide.

A 67-year-old man, who initially called police and came forward as a witness, is in custody, but Dustin Schuh, 26, Daniel Shaw, 38, and Melissa Luyten, 32, are all still wanted on charges of kidnapping, forcible confinement and murder.

Windsor and Essex County Crime Stoppers Police Coordinator Amanda Allen, who representing the OPP, says all tips are evaluated on a point system which could net you anywhere from $50 to $2,000.

"When we're talking about kidnapping, forcible confinement and murder, we're talking very serious charges. [The reward would be] in the higher range, but I couldn't speak to a specific amount until an arrest is made," she explains.

Allen can't say how many tips they might receive in cases similar to this, but says Crime Stoppers did give out $50,000 in rewards last year.

The agency believes the three suspects may be travelling up Hwy. 401 to Kingston, and are warning anyone who sees them not to approach.

"If they can call the police, it certainly makes it easier for the officers responding," adds Allen. "But if they believe their safety would be an issue, then calling Crime Stoppers is an excellent opportunity to still help without having to be identified."
