WIFF Expands To Chrysler Theatre

The Windsor International Film Festival is pointing to significant growth and demand for its expansion to the Chrysler Theatre at the St. Clair Centre for the Arts.

WIFF Executive Director Vincent Georgie thinks the Chrysler Theatre is a natural fit with the festival.

"We are so thrilled to be partnering with the St. Clair Centre for the Arts to be able to provide our guests with an additional location to see their favourite films for an exceptional screening experience," says Georgie in a news release. "The Chrysler Theatre is a perfect addition to WIFF."

Both the opening and closing night films will be screened at the Chrysler Theatre along with difference screenings scheduled throughout the festival. The Capitol Theatre in downtown Windsor will still be the main attraction for the week-long festival.

Veronica Mancini is the manager at the Chrysler Theatre and she's thrilled to see the film festival grow.

"WIFF is such an important cultural event for our community," says Mancini. "The St. Clair Centre of the Arts is proud to be partnering with the festival."

A new box office location is also being added at 176 University Ave. W which replaces the old space at the Capitol Theatre. The new box office opens October 24.

WIFF is scheduled for November 1-6.
