Olympic Medalist The Face Of FINA Windsor

Kylie Masse is the Athlete Ambassador for the FINA World Swimming Championships, being held in Windsor this December.

The LaSalle native won a bronze medal in the 100 metre backstroke at the Summer Olympics in Rio, and says she's honoured by this new title.

"I had the opportunity to be in the stands at the Toronto Pan Am Games and it just gave me chills to be in the stands, and knowing that there was so much support from the home town and home crowd," says Masse. "To know that that's going to happen here is incredible."

Masse says she doesn't feel any more pressure to perform now that she's the ambassador.

She's just excited to show off Windsor-Essex to other members of the Canadian swim team and her peers from around the world.
