Update: Curry Ave. House Fire Investigated

 

Fire officials in Windsor now say Sunday's house fire on Curry Ave. caused $220,000 damage to the home.

Losses amount to another $70,000 inside 2172 Curry Ave., and $20,000 to the house next door at 2176 Curry Ave.

The fire started on the back deck, on the barbecue.

When firefighters arrived at 8:20pm Sunday, flames were shooting from the roof of the home. The fire was quickly extinguished, and nobody was hurt.

It's the third house fire in Windsor in less than two days. On Saturday, unattended cooking started a fire at 1644 Hickory Rd. causing $20,000. Also on Saturday, another fire caused by electrical failure caused $180,000 damage at 1444 Norman Rd. and $20,000 to the house next door.
