City Council Goes Paperless

The City of Windsor will soon be going paperless for its council and committee agendas.

The city uses nearly 700,000 sheets of paper and spends more than $15,000 each year on agendas.

Deputy City Clerk Steve Vlachodimos says the move will also allow the city to be more environmentally friendly and transparent. "At the end of the day it will make viewing of agendas and council reports for the general public a lot easier," he says. "It also will allow citizens to go back and look at previous council reports for the last few years, which is not the case at the present time."

The city plans to do a soft launch this summer and roll out the new software in the fall or winter.
