Windsor-Essex Considered Business Friendly

A business magazine is recognizing Windsor-Essex and Chattanooga, Tennessee with an award for business friendliness.

The fDi Intelligence division of the Financial Times collected data in five categories based on the size of the region. It says it weighed 421 regions in North and South America for economic potential, business friendliness, human capital, cost effectiveness and connectivity. Windsor-Essex and Chattanooga came out on top in the small city category to win the 2015/16 Business Friendliness Award.

"It's terrific for our region to be recognized internationally with this designation," says Windsor-Essex Economic Development Corporation CEO Sandra Pupatello. "The Economic Development Corporation will continue to build the region's international profile as a sound business decision and return on investment."

Other communities that rounded out the top ten include Waterloo, Burlington, Cambridge, Irving Texas and Resende Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

fDi is a bi-monthly magazine with a circulation of 15,000.
