Ward 2 Councillor Len Janisse in Lakeshore isn't a fan of the town's recently approved budget.
Janisse and Ward 5 Councillor Dan Diemer were the only two votes against the final budget levy bylaw passed on Tuesday night.
Janisse points to missed savings and a lack of spending in his ward as reasons he opposed the budget.
"I felt that there were still a couple more possible cuts, but at the same time I didn't think it was a fair budget for the whole municipality," says Janisse. "I thought most of the spending was in one area. I have issues in my ward and I don't think any of them were addressed."
The budget is bringing in a 4.92% property tax increase for homeowners in Lakeshore which is about a $53 jump on the bill for a home assessed at $200,000.
