The Windsor Spitfires have lost 8-4 to the Niagara IceDogs, eliminating the team from playoff contention.
On Sunday, the IceDogs jumped ahead 3-0 in the first period and extended their lead to 7-1 at the end of the second. The Spitfires scored three more in the final frame but couldn't catch up to Niagara's big lead.
Jamie Lewis, Slater Doggett, Lucas Venuto and Trevor Murphy each scored one for Windsor.
The Spitfires will take on the Erie Otters for their final home game on Thursday at 7:05pm.
