Suspects Arrested For Multiple Robberies

Windsor police have arrested two teens in connection with two, possible three, recent robberies.

On Monday police say the Shoppers Drug Mart in the 2100 block of Ottawa St. called in a robbery at around 9pm. The two suspects handed the pharmacist a note indicating they had a gun and demanded narcotics. No weapon was seen and both suspects left with nothing.

This morning at 2:20am police say the same two robbed a Chinese food delivery driver in the 1700 block of Cadillac Rd. Police say the driver handed food to the suspects when one pulled out a black handgun. He demanded the driver hand over all of his cash.

The 53-year-old victim began to back away and the other suspect pulled out a metal baton and struck the driver, knocking him unconscious.

A short time later police were called to the 1500 block of Albert Rd. and observed a homeowner escorting three males out of his house. Police say the victims had the stolen Chinese food, a handgun and baton in their possession. The homeowner was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The two suspects, ages 16 and 17, have been charged and police believe they may be involved in the pizza delivery robbery on January 15. The third suspect, a 20-year-old male, was arrested in the 1500 block of Albert Rd.
