Essex County Warden Tom Bain isn't looking for big changes from administration over the new term of county council.
Bain says in discussing directives with staff, he praised them for steering the county to debt freedom. However, Bain is pushing administration to find a way to address needed road work.
"We know there's a need for $440-million worth of road work within the next 20 years," says Bain. "What we would like to do is perhaps put more money in that area and try to speed up a lot of that work."
Bain says other directives for county council over the new term are to work with the City of Windsor on transit and the planned new mega hospital.
Council won't formally set its priorities until budget talks begin.
