A Helping Hand For The Hungry

Hundreds of Windsor families will now be able to enjoy a turkey this Christmas.

The annual Mikhail Holdings Turkey Giveaway had people lining up on Ouellette Ave. this morning, from University Ave. right down to Park St., in hopes of receiving one of the 500 birds.

Debbie McClement has received a turkey three years in a row and says it's an amazing thing. "I was just talking here to the lady beside me saying, 'nobody goes hungry in Windsor.' There's no way you can go hungry in Windsor, you know?"

Tim Hortons was out providing coffee to those who waited in line for hours in the cold.
