A Kingsville firefighter is getting some online attention after proposing to his girlfriend in full gear and arriving in a fire truck with the sirens blazing.
On Country Mornings on 95.9/92.7 with Cordell, fiance Lyndi Meloche says her then-boyfriend Corey Vultaggio made up this elaborate story which eventually led to an engagement .
"All of a sudden he had called me and told me that there was a fire in the basement, the electrician had called it in and that I needed to go outside," says Meloche. "As he's saying this, the fire alarm was pulled and I'm freaking out. What can I grab? I'm not even dressed right now."
Meloche says she was completely caught off guard by the entire thing after being lured outside. "There was some things that were kind of off and then I saw Corey and then you see my reaction, I was so shocked," says Meloche. "He had to get permission from so many people, like the Town of Kingsville, dispatch. It was very impressive."
