UPDATE: Motel Robbery Suspect Arrested

One suspect wanted in connection with the forcible confinement and robbery of a man at a Windsor motel has been arrested.

The Windsor Police Service says on Friday around 2pm, officers arrested a 34-year-old Windsor man at the intersection of Lens Ave and Wellesley Ave. on an outstanding warrant for an incident that took place on Thursday. He is now facing charges of robbery, forcible confinement and uttering threats.

Police allege the man was one of three people who robbed a male victim of his wallet, forced him into a cab and locked him in a washroom at the Town & Country Motel on Howard Ave. The victim waited until the coast was clear and then escaped to a nearby convenience store, where he called police.

Police also arrested a woman at the motel on Thursday, after the robbery victim escaped. She has been charged with robbery, possession of stolen property and forcible confinement.

Police are still looking for one suspect who is described as a white male, around 29 years old, 5'6" tall, with a stocky to medium build, a short buzz cut, and a large scar down the back of his head. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt with a design on it, and blue jeans.

Anyone with information regarding this incident should call Windsor police at 519-255-6700 ext. 4305 or Crime Stoppers at 519-258-8477 (TIPS).
