The Windsor Spitfires took a 5-3 win over the Saginaw Spirit in OHL action Saturday night.
The Spits stayed ahead the entire game, taking a 3-1 lead by the end of the first period. The final two periods were back and forth with both teams scoring two goals each, which allowed Windsor to keep their two goal advantage for the win.
Luke Kirwan was top scorer for Windsor with two goals. Cristiano DiGiacinto, Ryan Moore and Sam Povorozniouk each scored one.
The Spits are back on Thursday to take on the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds at 7:05pm.
