Hospice Funds Benefit Transportation Program

Never did John Fairley think his family would be recognized for efforts made to the Windsor-Essex hospice, 12 years after starting the Face to Face campaign.
This year, $75,000 was raised through Fairley’s campaign — much higher than the $65,000 goal.
The hospice van now bears a permanent placard named after the Fairley family.
Fairley says it’s truly an honour to help people in a time of need. “To have our family recognized because it really is a family. If it wasn’t for our moms and dads teaching us what to do and showing us the way,” says Fairley. “I take no pride of myself in this. It’s what’s inside and as you know, you just do because you can do it.”
Funds raised this year will be put towards the hospice transportation program, which helps more than 6,500 people.
