The Governor General of Canada is presenting two Windsor police officers with medals of bravery for saving a man from a burning vehicle.

The driver, injured in a crash on September 16, 2011, was dangling in a precarious position after the impact of the crash left the vehicle on its side. Constables Sean Rogan and Charles Sasso pulled him through the sunroof as the vehicle burned.

The Right Honourable David Johnston will present Rogan and Sasso with Medals of Bravery at a ceremony at Rideau Hall in Ottawa Tuesday.

The medal recognizes acts of bravery in hazardous circumstances.
