The Windsor Police Service is conducting a training exercise in Tecumseh at the old St. Anne’s High School and Victoria School.

The training is taking place the rest of this week and into next with further dates scheduled in November and December.

Tecumseh Mayor Gary McNamara is upset the town and residents weren’t notified of the training prior to this week. “They didn’t schedule this over night so there’s a period of time that we could have been notified. The irony for us, our OPP which is our police service here were not even notified so there’s been a total break down of communication in my opinion and I just want administration to address that.”

The Windsor-Essex Catholic District School Board owns the properties and gave permission for the training to take place.
